Responsibilities- Exemplify and ensure CNRG’s Mission and Values remain forefront in daily business and keep all associates informed about store and company expectations and news.
- Provide aggressive customer service as part of total store operations to exceed customer expectations.
- Supervise other associates as assigned.
- Maintain a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, and motivate other associates to do the same.
- Provide appropriate solutions to customers’ questions.
- Stay up-to-date on all current programs and procedures and communicate them to all team members.
- Coordinate merchandise orders to keep up with sales trends and customer demands.
- Complete cycle counts in a timely manner and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Demonstrate leadership and adhere to CNRG’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Train all incoming new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
- Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and stock areas, including stocking products.
- Create merchandise displays to improve sales and ease of shopping.
- Collaborate with other associates to complete tasks and achieve budgeted goals.
- Clean the store and exterior areas of the facility.
- Identify and correct safety problems or hazards.
- Complete price shops and price changes in a timely manner.
- Maintain certifications in all required store areas (e.g., forklift, DOT, gate, receiving, service desk).
- Complete the HCI product knowledge course and master opening/closing procedures and customer service skills (e.g., banding lumber, cutting keys, mixing paint, keying locks, cutting flooring).
- Other functions as assigned by a supervisor.
A successful Team Leader demonstrates leadership and problem-solving skills, can work with limited supervision, communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and associates, and develops strong management and organizational capabilities. They should be able to interpret data to coordinate merchandise and operations in the absence of salaried management, handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
They must be able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and stock items in overhead areas.
- Must be certified in all relevant areas in the store to include, but not limited to, inside and outside forklifts, DOT, gate, receiving, and service desk.
- Must complete required product knowledge courses and demonstrate comprehensive customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, reaching, bending, and stocking items in overhead areas.
