Inventory Generalist – Counter Clerk

Location: Detroit Lakes
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience

The Inventory Generalist / Counter Clerk supports plumbing and HVAC field teams by managing inventory purchasing and parts support for our Detroit Lakes and Fargo locations. This role ensures parts, tools, and fixtures are available when needed, coordinates weekly ductwork transport from Perham to Fargo, and supervises an inventory stocking/parts runner in the Fargo office. • Manage inventory operations for the Detroit Lakes and Fargo locations
• Supervise the Fargo-based inventory stocking associate/parts runner
• Receive, organize, and maintain plumbing and HVAC parts and materials
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts as needed
• Support technicians at the parts counter by locating and issuing parts and supplies
• Prepare and assemble parts orders for field staff
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with audits
• Coordinate with vendors on orders, deliveries, returns, and warranties
• Transport ductwork weekly between Perham and Fargo

• 3+ years of inventory, warehouse, or related experience
• Plumbing, HVAC, or construction supply experience is a plus
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Customer-service mindset and clear communication skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment

• Combination of office, warehouse, and driving duties
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 40–50 lbs
• Regular driving, including weekly trips from Perham to Fargo
