Overview

We are seeking a Part Time Accountant to join an established team providing specialized compliance and accounting services to our client. This role focuses on unclaimed property compliance and core accounting activities. You will work alongside experienced consultants and have access to strong subject matter expertise.

• Unclaimed Property Compliance: Prepare and file unclaimed property reports (escheats) across 50+ jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to statutory rules and deadlines.
• Account Reconciliation: Prepare monthly reconciliations for cash (bank) accounts.
• Daily Banking Support: Monitor and support daily banking activities, troubleshoot exceptions, and resolve issues promptly.
• Special Projects: Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned by the manager.

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in accounting; compliance experience is a plus.

• Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and user-level experience with Access.
• Ability to learn new software (e.g., FSI Track).
