Venteon Finance is currently engaged on a SENIOR CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT search for a growing manufacturing client located in the Detroit area.
REQUIREMENTS of the Senior Corporate Accountant role- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA Designation preferred, not required
- 5 - 7+ Years of experience
- Consolidation Accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation activities across legal entities and business units.
- Prepare, record, and review consolidation entries, entity-level entries, and intercompany eliminating entries
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, investigate differences, and coordinate timely resolution with business unit finance teams
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, supporting schedules, and financial reporting packages in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company reporting requirements
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and complete corporate accounting deliverables according to the reporting calendar
- Assist the Corporate Controller with technical accounting research, internal controls, special projects, and finance process improvements
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes
