Job Summary:The Faculty Physician provides quality medical care to patients in a clinical setting. The Faculty Physician also assists management in developing policies and procedures relating to patient needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner.
- Participate in the teaching/training program(s).
- Communicate with administrators and Physicians to facilitate practice operations.
- Participate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patients.
- Conform to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Maintain a current professional license and professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicable.
- Attend meetings and training as requested, including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in areas such as recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competence.
- Participate in professional development activities and keep current with healthcare trends and practices.
- Obey confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory, and Wayne Health policies.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Licensed M.D. or D.O. Board eligible.
- High level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal, necessary to effectively communicate, establish, and maintain productive working relationships.
- Excellent analytical ability necessary to independently identify and resolve complex problems or discrepancies.
- Clinical knowledge to meet the medical requirements relating to various procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel, and financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time.
- Patient management skills necessary to provide quality care.
- Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Schedule:
- Hours and days to be determined by the business need of the department. Additional hours may be required.
