Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner
* Participate in the teaching/training program(s)
* Communicate with administrators, and Physicians to facilitate practice operations
* Participate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patients
* Conforms to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization, to the Wayne Health Corporate Compliance Program and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and to clinic policies and procedures
* Maintains a current professional license, professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicable
* Attend meetings and training as requested including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in such areas as: recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competence
* Participates in professional development activities and keeps current with healthcare trends and practices
* Obeys confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory and Wayne Health policies
* Perform related duties as assigned
** Additional Chief Duties:
*** Work to actively promote the GI Division as a dynamic leader in clinical care and continuing medical education through programs that maximize exposure of our exceptional programs, faculty and expertise
* Demonstrate a firm commitment to fiscally sound management and prudent allocation of available resources; establish and monitor appropriate accountabilities for faculty, staff and trainees;
* Provide responsible fiscal stewardship along with the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine, and proactively seeking entrepreneurial opportunities for the division;## Education,

Licensure/Certification , and Training:
* Licensed M.D. or D.O. Board eligible##

Skills and Abilities:

* High level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal, necessary to effectively communicate, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the Department and/or Practice
* Excellent analytical ability necessary to independently identify and resolve extremely complex and unusual problems or discrepancies
* Clinical knowledge to meet the medical requirements relating to various procedures
* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel and/or financial data
* Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time
* Patient management skills necessary to provide quality care## Safety Requirements:
