Henry Ford Health - Infectious Diseases Physician & System Associate Medical Director

Henry Ford Health, a qua ternary care academic institution affiliated with Michigan State University and Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking an Infectious Diseases physician to serve as the System Associate Medical Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship
.

Responsibilities
  • Improve and reduce hospital-acquired infection (HAI) rates.
  • Provide expertise in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), healthcare epidemiology, and antimicrobial stewardship.
  • Optimize utilization of diagnostic testing and antimicrobials.
  • Develop and implement institutional policies and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in quality, safety, regulatory activities, and performance excellence.
  • Oversee clinical and academic responsibilities within the Department of Infectious Diseases.
  • Participate in research and training within healthcare epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship.
  • Qualifications

    Board Certification and fellowship training in Infectious Disease are required. Candidates should have training and/or experience in healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and quality improvement. Faculty appointments are available based on experience.
