Laborist - Obstetrics and Gynecology Nights​/Rotating

Overview

Henry Ford St. John Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician to function as a night OB hospitalist n Hospital, working 11 shifts per month. Shifts range from 11-14 hours.

St. John Hospital offers level III perinatal services (Maternal Fetal Medicine and Neonatology), 24-hour anesthesia coverage and averages 250 deliveries per month. All OB/GYN specialties are represented in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology which includes a 16-resident ACGME-accredited training program and a clinically strong OB/GYN generalist service.

• Management of residents as they evaluated and treat patients in the emergency room, OB triage, labor and delivery and the OR
• Provide appropriate oversight and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and other learners
• Complete OB and GYN consults, including those from the Emergency Department
• Perform minor GYN surgeries

• Board-certified or Board-eligible OB/GYN (MD or DO)
• Clinically motivated and have prior experience in a high acuity obstetrics setting
• An exceptional communicator
• Devoted to providing quality, patient-centered care
• Strongly interested in resident and medical student education
