Vassar Brothers Medical Center (VBMC) is a 350-bed facility that has served the Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. A recent addition to the VBMC campus is the Patient Pavilion featuring 294 private patient rooms, a 30-room intensive care unit, 13 surgical suites, and 66 exam and treatment rooms in the emergency and trauma center. VBMC is part of Nuvance Health. This regional medical center is home to the area’s first cardiothoracic surgery program and has the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit in the region.

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician

• Salary: $575K
