Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Assistant Professor - Tenure/Tenure-Track - College of Nursing at its Detroit campus location.

• Establish an independent program of research aligned with the college’s strategic priorities
• Develop and submit competitive grant proposals as PI or co-investigator to federal, state, or foundation funding agencies
• Publish in reputable, nationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals
• Prepare, teach and evaluate assigned courses
• Use teaching strategies appropriate to learning objectives and students’ needs
• Participate in College and University committees
• Perform related duties as assigned

• PhD in Nursing required
• Previous teaching experience at baccalaureate or higher degree level
• External and/or intramural grant activity
• A clear trajectory toward independent funding (e.g. next study and potential funding mechanism)
