Lead Instructor - Detroit, MI

We are looking for a Lead Instructor able to teach STEAM to students in the Detroit area. This position is for the remainder of the current school year and beyond. The role includes professional development, teaching, and classroom management at a partner school.

Lead Instructor at Clippert Multicultural Magnet Honors Academy, working with partners throughout the Detroit area.

• Work with site staff at partner schools.
• Lead STEAM projects and activities for students using our proprietary curriculum.
• Teach students in grades TK-8th.
• Build relationships with parents and students, fostering trust and respect.
• Maintain a safe learning environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Immediate availability for training and instruction.
• Commitment to work the current school year and beyond.
• Availability on Monday and Tuesday (8:00am-3:00pm) and Thursday (12:00pm-5:00pm). (If other days, contact us.)
• Experience teaching and managing large groups of youth in an academic setting.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to complete our professional development training program.

The hourly rate is $22.00–$23.00, based on experience, with opportunities for raises based on performance and tenure.
