COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHER
2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR
University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy is seeking an outstanding full‑time computer science and technology teacher for the high school and academy. Candidates should desire to work with all grade levels at U of D Jesuit and to teach mainstream and honors courses. Duties will include instruction for a mix of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Programming, and Computer Science courses.
Additional duties include one period of student prefecting and one homeroom period in accordance with department/school policies.

Duties and Performance ResponsibilitiesThe teacher’s day consists of five teaching periods, one lunch period, one homeroom period, one period given to prefecting or other school duty as the principal may assign, and at least one unencumbered period for planning, student conferences, preparation, and program improvement.
The teacher’s services include: preparation and correction of examinations, proctoring, substitution, conferences with students and parents, student guidance, faculty committee service, department and school problem review, syllabus preparation, faculty meetings, and other professional services as required.
Faculty members are expected to participate in professional development activities to stay current in their field. Attendance at professional development days as determined by the principal is mandatory.
Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field required; graduate degree in education or related field preferred.
- Current teaching certificate in the State of Michigan.
- Willingness to participate in Shared Services as a condition of employment.

- Must be able to lift light objects (1–10 lbs) with no repetitive bending or stooping; occasionally lift moderate objects (10–20 lbs).
