The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Develop and sustain a nationally recognized research agenda in an aspect of lifespan health promotion with an emphasis on diverse and historically underrepresented populations (including, but not limited to, neurodiverse individuals, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, those with physical disabilities, maternal and child health populations, and/or older adults).
  • Pursue external funding in collaboration within the division, broader university and community partners.
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
  • Supervise and mentoring graduate students.
  • Provide meaningful service to the division, college, university, and professional field.

Additional Responsibilities
:

We are especially interested in candidates whose expertise focuses on health promotion across the lifespan with an emphasis on diverse metropolitan communities. Scholars with research addressing neurodiversity, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), physical disability, healthy aging, and/or maternal and child health (pre-birth through early childhood) are strongly encouraged to apply. Additionally, candidates with a track record of designing and evaluating effective health promotion programs and interventions in urban and community-based settings will be well-positioned to contribute to our mission of advancing our team-science approach to research, teaching, and service.
