We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team!
The Lead Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, understands age-appropriate development, and is confident leading and managing a classroom.
The ideal candidate is patient, creative, reliable, organized, and able to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a preschool classroom while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
- Create and follow age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum.
- Teach beginning literacy, math, language, science, and other early learning concepts through hands-on activities and play.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a consistent classroom schedule and daily routine.
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management techniques.
- Observe children's development and monitor progress toward developmental milestones.
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's day, progress, behavior, and needs.
- Work cooperatively with assistant teachers, other staff members, and management.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and childcare licensing requirements.
- Assist children with meals, toileting, handwashing, transitions, and other daily routines as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Complete required classroom documentation, attendance records, incident reports, and other paperwork.
- Attend required staff meetings and childcare trainings.
- Previous experience working with children is required
. - Previous experience in a childcare center, preschool, early childhood program, or similar setting is preferred.
- CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning practices.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with children, parents, coworkers, and management.
- Dependable, punctual, patient, and professional.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to complete all required childcare trainings and background checks.
