TYLin is seeking a passionate Transportation Design Engineer to join our growing Detroit office. This is an exciting opportunity for an early to mid-career engineer—whether you’re a newly minted PE, or an EIT on track to earn licensure in the next year—to make a meaningful impact on high-visibility transit and transportation projects throughout the state.#
** Responsibilities & Qualifications
**** What You’ll Do
** In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to deliver infrastructure that improves safety, accessibility, and community connection. You will gain hands-on experience with:
* ** Roadway and highway geometric design**
* ** Site civil engineering**, including grading and drainage
* ** Utility design and coordination
*** Supporting transportation and transit design packages for the
** State of Michigan**,
** MDOT**, and the
** City of Detroit
*** Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring projects from planning through design and delivery

**** What You Bring
*** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
* ** PE license
** in Michigan
* or* the ability to obtain PE within one year (EITs encouraged to apply)
* Experience in transportation, roadway, or site civil design
* Working knowledge of design software (Micro Station, Open Roads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.)
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
