Civil Engineer; PE EIT - Project Engineer

Role Overview

Webuild () is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to engage in hands‑on project engineering work for a variety of engineering design projects, including storm water, wastewater, highway/roadway (MDOT) and grading design for site plans related to municipal and private project initiatives throughout Michigan and select Mid‑West markets.

• Perform civil site design, underground utility (street, sewer, water, and storm drains) engineering, grading plans, hydraulic calculations, and as‑built plans.
• Use AutoCAD/Civil 3D to develop both conceptual and final designs and support the project manager in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate permitting with city agencies, draft RFIs, and prepare maintenance of traffic plans.
• Assist leadership in writing, reviewing, and approving project specifications; formulate cost estimates/proposals, assess bid requests, and attend progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and be an integral part of the project engineering team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) in Michigan; EITs must obtain professional registration in a timely manner upon employment.
• 5+ years of experience performing hands‑on engineering tasks for storm water, wastewater, highway/roadway (MDOT), and grading design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
