JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Sales Project Manager in Metro Detroit MI. Our client is a manufacturer that specializes in molded connector parts. The Sales Project Manager is responsible bridging the gap between sales, engineering, production, and customer service.

Responsibilities of a Sales Project Manager includes:

• Act as the primary point of contact for major OEM clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• Lead RFQ responses, quotations, and contract negotiations related to molded and stamped components.
• Oversee new project launches from concept through production, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality targets are met.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, tooling, production, and quality teams to ensure project alignment.
• Drive customer satisfaction by managing expectations, resolving issues, and ensuring delivery milestones.
• Monitor project progress, report on KPIs, and proactively address potential roadblocks.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and support overall growth strategies.

Job Requirements of a Sales Project Manager:

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management and Sales within the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities within the automotive industry.
• Strong background in molding (injection or compression) and metal stamping processes.
• Proven track record managing programs with major automotive OEMs (e.g., GM, Ford, Stellantis, Toyota, etc.).
• Deep understanding of APQP, PPAP, and other automotive quality standards.
• Excellent communication, customer-facing, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP or PLM system experience a plus.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus but not required.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields such as Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related) or Business Administration (with strong technical aptitude).
