Quality & Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional with a strong background in manufacturing and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, a structured approach to problem‑solving, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product development and manufacturing processes.
- Apply structured problem‑solving methodologies to address quality issues.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
- Conduct and analyze MSA and SPC studies to validate measurement systems and monitor process stability.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize data to support decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with or understanding of components such as drive units, batteries, engines, transmissions, castings, gears, shafts, bearings, plastics, etc.
- Preference for candidates with drive unit, battery, or electronics experience.
- Familiarity with processes such as stamping, high‑pressure die casting, machining, forging, and assemblies.
- Proficiency in methodologies like 8D and PDCA.
- Ability to identify and confirm problems, implement containment and interim corrective actions, determine and verify root causes, develop and apply permanent corrective actions, validate effectiveness and standardize solutions across operations.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing as a standardized system for defining part features and tolerances.
- Knowledge of MSA principles and GR&R (gage repeatability and reproducibility) studies to assess measurement system reliability.
- Understanding of SPC as a method to monitor and control processes, aiming to reduce variation and improve quality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint (required).
- Minitab and Jira (preferred).
- Ability to collect, analyze, and present data effectively.
- Self‑motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic, and eager to prove themselves in a dynamic environment.
- $33/hr to $35/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
- Benefit packages will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
