Senior Controls Engineer – Detroit, Michigan

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer in the Engineering industry in Detroit, Michigan
. Our client is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer with expertise in industrial automation and robotics, with a proven track record in programming and integrating advanced control systems.

A typical day:

• Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated equipment and robotics
• Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots for various applications
• Configure and maintain Siemens and Allen‑Bradley PLCs and related control software
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions
• Provide technical support and training to on‑site teams as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all automation processes

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
• Proficiency in Fanuc robot programming (TP programming, iRVision, handling tools)
• Strong knowledge of Siemens and Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and related software
• Experience in robotics applications within laboratories or hospital environments is considered an asset
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting
