The role will serve as the SME for MBSE efforts within our small team in Detroit, MI. This position will understand the program’s modeling approach and standards, follow guidelines, and incorporate Human‑Systems Integration into the team environment. Highly collaborative with a proactive engagement with team members.

• Work as part of a cross‑functional Agile team with engineers and designers, emphasizing human engineering aspects.
• Develop Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo/Magic Draw and SysML to model system requirements, architecture, functionality, components, and behavior.
• Be the primary interface to systems engineering for human engineering teams (HSI, UX, Training, Safety); collaborate to incorporate human engineering aspects into the model.
• Work independently on complex tasks and mentor junior systems engineers.
• Support activities across the engineering lifecycle such as requirements analysis, functional allocation, interface management, trade studies, verification, and validation; develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts.
• Collaborate effectively with other teams and customer representatives, support major and minor system review events.

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Active DoD security clearance is highly preferred; ability to obtain and maintain will be considered.
• US Citizenship is required.
• 8+ years of demonstrated experience in a Systems Engineering role.
• Experience developing large, complex military systems.
• Experience with SysML modeling in Magic Draw/Cameo or other MBSE tools, preferably modeling humans as a subsystem.
• Experience with agile system development processes.
• Understanding of the entire system engineering lifecycle, including human engineering considerations.
• Bias for action and collaboration.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Security Clearance Required.
• Due to federal contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. persons and eligible for a U.S. security clearance.
