Overview
Senior Water / Wastewater Director to drive growth and lead client services for Detroit Metro-based work. This external facing leader represents AECOM in the marketplace and oversees business development, sales, strategy development and execution, and project delivery.
Responsibilities- Help build a strong and thriving culture in AECOM Water that promotes sustainability and innovation while preserving technical excellence in core competencies.
- Develop and own the long-term vision for sustained growth of AECOM’s Water / Wastewater / Conveyance practices across Michigan, in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Collaborate with the US West Water leadership to deliver strategy and drive growth initiatives regionally, including identifying strategic market opportunities, growth strategy, and personnel/skills planning.
- Manage the capture process for designated key pursuits to ensure best practices and continuous improvement in capture results.
- Serve as a client account manager (CAM) for designated key clients.
- Lead project delivery for Water projects in the region.
- Represent AECOM as an industry leader in relevant industry organizations and at events.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
- Experience in business development with strong relationships with Water clients across Michigan, including southeast Michigan.
- Project management experience on water / wastewater projects.
- Professional Engineering license for Michigan.
- 20+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of best practices in business development and capture for professional services.
- Team-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate problems clearly to clients, leadership, and technical staff.
- Ability to balance multiple project and company responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality.
- Professional Engineering license for Illinois and Indiana.
- Sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is USD 175,000 - USD 235,000 per year.
