Civil Engineering - Land Development

Detroit and the surrounding Southeast Michigan region are seeing continued reinvestment, and TYG is helping civil engineering firms and developers find the people to take it on. If you want to work on projects that reshape neighbourhoods and corridors, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll work on

• Redevelopment, infill, and mixed-use projects alongside new residential and commercial development
• Site design for existing urban conditions, including grading, drainage, utility upgrades, and stormwater management
• Entitlements, site plan approvals, and permitting with the City of Detroit, surrounding municipalities, and Michigan agencies
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, and public stakeholders through construction
• For PM-level candidates: leading project teams, managing budgets and schedules, and owning client relationships

What we're looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Experience in land development, site civil, or related infrastructure work
• EIT or PE license (or progress toward licensure) preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Michigan local and county requirements
• Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex approvals
