Senior Structural Engineer | Midwest USA (Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio)
$120K–$140K | Hybrid
A growing, highly specialized design-build manufacturer in Metro Detroit is expanding its engineering team to support custom architectural structures and complex structural projects.
What we're looking for:- 7–12+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience, ideally involving custom steel and aluminum structures.
- Licensed PE with experience developing and sealing structural calculations and designs.
- Strong expertise in structural framing, connections, anchorage, base plates, and load analysis
, with knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and aluminum design standards. - Experience supporting preconstruction/estimating and design-build projects
, working directly with architects, contractors, and internal teams. - A proactive, commercially minded engineer who thrives on solving complex structural challenges
, takes ownership, and wants to help build a growing in-house engineering function.
