Position: SPORTS BOOK LEAD SUPERVISOR

Job Description

Motor City Casino Hotel is seeking a Sports book Lead Supervisor to oversee the sports book floor and ensure optimal guest service and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Sports book floor, including cashier location assignments, supervisor assignments, and customer service staff supervisors.
  • Monitor all monies being wagered.
  • Approve or deny wagers in conjunction with the Risk and Trading Team.
  • Handle escalated guest disputes from cashiers and supervisors.
  • Supervise cashiers to ensure accurate issuance and redemption of betting slips while providing gaming information and complying with all gaming regulations.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Assist management with maintaining control and authority over the Sports book.
  • Report technical issues with tills or TVs to the IT team.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous sports book supervisory experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of computers, touch screens & a/v system.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain applicable licenses and satisfy all regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in sports or online gaming and compliance preferred.
  • Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and stacking.
