About the Role

Venteon is currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to fill an opening with an industry leader headquartered in the Metro Detroit area. The ideal candidate will be a critical contributor to the company’s overall financial success.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with emphasis in finance or accounting.
  • 2+ years of Public Accounting / Corporate Accounting experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging review, and other disclosures is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

The Analyst, Financial Reporting will assist with the planning, organization and preparation of the Company’s external financial statements and SEC filings (including Forms 10-Q and 10-K), as well as other filings in conjunction with various corporate transactions. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Reporting.

  • Assist with the development of the calendar associated with all filings, including reviews by internal personnel, disclosure committee, audit committee, and external auditors.
  • Detailed preparation of the Company’s external financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging review, and other disclosures.
  • Coordinate the collection of supporting documentation from various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Work with external and internal auditors to provide information required to complete quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Assist and coordinate the validation, corroboration and tie-out of data to relevant supporting documentation for all external reporting activities.
  • Organize and maintain supporting work papers related to internal controls compliance for the Financial Reporting and Accounting group.
  • Assist with any and all ad hoc reporting, research or document preparation as assigned.
