Partnership Manager, Tax (BDO USA)

BDO USA seeks a seasoned tax professional to provide tax & consulting services to our Pass‑Through clients.

• Perform tax planning, preparation, and research for Pass‑Through businesses; manage client engagements, supervise and review staff work, and work closely with clients and internal managers & partners.
• Write books and records, compose written tax advice or responses to IRS inquiries.
• Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely services and work product.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of tax concepts and actively pursue increased tax knowledge through client assignments and current developments.
• Ensure compliance with authorities and firm policies, conduct top‑level reviews, and resolve all tax issues with clients.
• Plan and review tax processes and procedures, including budgeting, staffing, monitoring engagement progress, billing, and collection.
• Manage client relationships and expectations in accordance with the project.
• Provide timely advice to clients.
• Conduct research when needed, apply firm and professional standards, and involve specialists as appropriate.
• Develop and introduce new ideas to improve client, firm, or personnel positions, including reviewing tax implications and offering alternative courses of action.

• Build and train a team of professionals serving high net‑worth clients with timely responses.
• Supervise associates and senior associates on all projects, reviewing and providing feedback on their work.
• Train associates and seniors on current software tools.
• Act as a career advisor to associates and senior associates.
• Schedule and manage workload of associates and senior associates.
• Provide verbal and written performance feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Taxation (preferred).
• 5+ years public accounting experience in private client area, including individuals, estates, partnerships, S‑corporations, trusts, and private foundations.
• CPA certification (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience developing and managing a team of tax professionals.
• Client relationship management and executive presence.
• Advanced knowledge of subchapter K of the Internal Revenue Code and related tax account maintenance.
