Investment Banking Analyst

AVP Market Specialist - Investment Banking & Restructuring role with a middle-market boutique investment bank headquartered in the Detroit area. The firm specializes in M&A advisory, capital raising, and strategic financial consulting, with deep expertise in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Consumer, and Industrials sectors. The team delivers high-touch, partner-led service to clients across the U.S.

Location:

Detroit, MI. This is an in-person position. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Michigan and work in-person.

• Conduct financial analysis, valuation modeling (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, comps), and industry research
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials
• Support transaction execution including due diligence, data room management, and coordination with clients and counter parties
• Assist in the development of strategic insights and recommendations for clients
• Collaborate with senior bankers and contribute to a dynamic, entrepreneurial team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 0-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, audit, or transaction advisory
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and Power Point
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
• Willingness to relocate to Michigan and work in-person

Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
