We are partnering with a well-established, multi-billion-dollar organization with over 50 years of industry leadership on a confidential search for a Vice President of Strategic Finance. This is a newly created executive role as part of a broader transformation of the finance function - shifting from traditional, backward looking accounting to a more forward looking, value driven strategic finance organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape enterprise strategy and long term value creation, with significant visibility at the executive and board level.

The VP of Strategic Finance is an enterprise-level leader responsible for driving the company’s long-term financial strategy, capital allocation, and growth initiatives. This role oversees FP&A, M&A, Investor Relations, and enterprise analytics, ensuring alignment between financial performance, strategic priorities, and external market communication. The position operates as a key partner to the CFO and senior leadership team, helping guide major decisions that shape the company’s future over the next 5 - 10 years.

• Lead corporate FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management
• Develop and enhance analytics, KPIs, and financial insights to support decision-making
• Drive the full lifecycle of M&A, including evaluation, modeling, diligence, execution, and integration
• Build strategic business cases for investments, partnerships, and new growth opportunities
• Oversee Investor Relations, ensuring clear and compelling communication with investors and stakeholders
• Partner with executive leadership to shape strategy, capital allocation, and enterprise priorities
• Prepare and deliver board-level materials, strategic reviews, and financial narratives

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, CEO, and executive team
• Play a central role in defining and executing enterprise strategy
• Operate with a mandate to build, shape, and elevate the function, not simply maintain it

• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership across FP&A, corporate development, strategic finance, or investment banking / private equity
• Strong experience in M&A, corporate strategy, and financial modeling
• Proven ability to operate at an enterprise level, influencing senior leadership and board-level decisions
• Experience working closely with CFOs, CEOs, and executive teams on strategic initiatives
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and storytelling skills
• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams
• Background may include:
  Corporate strategy or M&A leadership roles
• FP&A leadership with enterprise scope
• Experience in complex, multi-site, or high-growth organizations
