Harborview Medical Center Pharmacy Department is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team.
Position Highlights- Per Diem
- Rotating/Variable shift
- Fill medications from Pyxis refill sheets for the entire hospital.
- Deliver medications to nursing units and other areas of the hospital.
- Package medications in single-unit packages.
- Restock shelves in the unit dose fill and front counter areas.
- Complete monthly outdate check and cleaning as assigned by Supervisor.
- Fill Ward Stock Requisition sheets for Nursing Units.
- Package patient-specific medications in single-unit packages.
- Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, perform bulk compounding of pharmaceuticals from a formula.
- Perform computer entry of prescriptions and charge/credit data.
- Work in the IV room and compound IV medications in accordance with USP 797 standards.
- Handle and prepare hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 standards.
- Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
- Strong candidates will have knowledge and experience with sterile intravenous admixture practices preferred, and good communication and organizational skills.
- State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details- Pay Range Minimum: $27.46 hourly
- Pay Range Maximum: $42.98 hourly
- Night Shift Premium - $2.75/hour;
Evening Shift Premium - $2.00/hour;
Weekend Shift Premium - $2.50/hour
