- This position sets up function room tables, chairs and any other necessary equipment according to prescribed layout; as well as assisting in the presetting, serving and breakdown of all function rooms.
- Responsible for set-up and breakdown in the hotel ballroom, salons, and pre-function areas.
- Maintain general cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Banquet Team.
- Inspects the tables, chairs and meeting rooms for repairs and advises management of needed repairs.
- Review all banquet event orders and set sheets upon reporting to work & inspect all meeting rooms to ensure proper setup.
- Attend all regular meetings.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer literate preferred (Microsoft Office).
- Considerable knowledge of banquet set-up, tear-down, serving, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members at all levels of the organization (extremely articulate).
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and customers.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Ability to perform intermediate math.
- Ability to plan and multi-task; certain degree of creativity is expected.
- Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
