Our Data Collection team in the USA (Detroit) is seeking an experienced and ambitious Team Leader to drive nationwide data collection operations. If you are a technical leader passionate about ADAS and Autonomous Vehicle technologies and looking for a high-impact role managing complex, multistate data collection campaigns, join us! The Data Collection USA Team is responsible for acquiring, analyzing, and managing specialized road data from a wide range of sensors and radars.
Our team stands out for its end-to-end data collection capabilities from installing and configuring measurement systems, debugging and data validation, to planning and executing large-scale collection campaigns.
- Lead the Detroit-based data collection team, managing execution of real-world driving scenario capture, edge-case testing, and continuous improvement of data quality and pipeline efficiency for ADAS/AV algorithm training and validation.
- Work hands-on with test vehicles: flash software, install and configure measurement devices, and ensure proper test conditions.
- Analyze and validate collected data; collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals; deliver data analysis reports and quality summaries.
- Evaluate and enhance daily workflows, tools, and methodologies to improve operational efficiency and testing accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree or apprenticeship in an automotive-related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry in a leadership or managerial position.
- Proven project and budget management experience.
- Hands-on technical experience with prototype or test vehicles.
- Familiarity with Linux, Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Flex Ray, Ethernet).
- Basic electronics skills (soldering, low-voltage systems, component replacement).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across the U.S. and abroad.
