Our client is working with one of the top automobile OEMs and their connected vehicle technologies and related partners. This role would be working in a highly technical and fast-paced environment, providing Quality Assurance expertise, testing cutting-edge hardware, software, firmware, and mobile implementations.
Job DescriptionThe Technical/Solutions Architect is responsible for defining and documenting the overall application strategy in support of the Technical/Solutions Architecture and application lifecycle and technology planning processes.
The key components of this role include:
- Ownership of the Technical/Solutions application, information, and technology strategies and alignment to business strategy, processes, and organization.
- Development and maintenance of Information Technology standards, standards adherence, and project architecture guidance.
- Maintenance of the application portion of the IT documentation repository, EA planning repository, and operational configuration management repositories.
- Ensuring that standards and processes are adhered to by development and implementation projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience and/or certifications in the concepts and methodologies of Technical/Solutions architecture (e.g., Zachman Framework, TOGAF, etc.) and application architecture.
- Conceptual knowledge of business area processes and functions.
- Knowledge of information technologies (Database, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, Networks, Web & Integration software).
- Broad understanding of technologies and experience in implementation methodologies, software development life cycle process, and project management.
- Excellent planning and organization, project management, and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to inform, educate, and influence managers and employees to support goals and initiatives.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of the vendor market and existing relationships.
Required experience includes:
- 8+ years of experience.
- Hands-on architecture experience with the following technologies:
Java/JEE, Oracle, Web Sphere, UNIX, Message Broker, SAP, and Mobile (android or iOS).
