Senior Software Engineer

Location:
Detroit, MI (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 remote)

A leading organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its high-impact Asset Management team. This is a newly created role due to internal promotion — a great opportunity to join a stable, growth-minded Fortune 500 environment.

In this role, you'll support and enhance critical Oracle-based systems (including Power Plan), working directly with finance and accounting stakeholders responsible for managing over $30 billion in assets. You’ll serve as the sole IT expert embedded in the business, bringing solutions, automation ideas, and a data-focused mindset to modernize workflows.

• Support and enhance Oracle-based systems (Power Plan preferred)
• Lead system upgrades and troubleshoot technical issues
• Collaborate directly with accounting leadership to gather and implement system requirements
• Drive automation and reporting improvements using tools like Power BI and Alteryx
• Propose and develop low-code solutions with Power Apps
• Operate autonomously with high impact across the business

• Proven Oracle experience in a support or engineering capacity
• Power Plan experience is a major plus
• Familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, and Power Apps
• Strong problem-solving ability and initiative
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
• Comfortable being the go-to technical person within a non-IT business team
