Performance Marketing Specialist
We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist to scale our reach across search, advertising, and web experience. This role blends hands‑on SEO/AEO, paid search management, and website optimization to improve visibility, lead quality, and conversions.
This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in the Detroit metro or Twin Cities metro area.
Role Description- Working within our CMS platform, building and updating webpages using best practices for UX, page speed, mobile responsiveness, and conversion flow
- Ensuring all web assets support strong SEO foundations, including structured data, metadata, internal linking, and accessibility
- Applying AEO best practices to increase visibility within AI‑driven search environments, including schema markup, structured content, and conversational content paths
- Expanding on traditional keyword research to develop answer‑ready content aligned to our customer’s questions
- Conducting ongoing SEO audits to ensure site health, crawlability, mobile performance, and adherence to modern standards
- Auditing our website for technical SEO, on‑page SEO, and content performance, implementing scalable strategies for additional traffic
- Implementing and optimizing paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and social media platforms, managing budgets, bids, and daily spend
- Owning keyword strategy, ad copy creation, A/B testing, bid adjustments, budget pacing, and audience segmentation
- Daily utilization of reporting, analytics, and trend tools to track campaign performance and make data‑driven decisions
- Implementing and managing robust conversion tracking strategies using Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Linked In Insight Tag, and other platform‑specific tools
- Developing dashboards and reporting to track channel performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- 5+ years in performance marketing, growth marketing, or demand generation
- Hands‑on SEO experience, including proven success in scaling SEO programs
- Understanding of LLMs, generative AI, and their impact on search behavior
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SEO/AEO/PPC tech stacks
- Experience with conversion tracking tools, UTM strategies, Google Tag Manager, and cross‑channel attribution, with the ability to turn insights into action
- Strong command of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and custom reporting tools
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Previous experience in B2B marketing is an advantage
