Position:
Test Engineer

Responsible for planning, integration, test case creation, scripting, and execution of all testing activities to ensure proper coverage.

Schedule and lead test deliverables review sessions as necessary.

Work on multiple projects/systems as a project team member and serve as a subject matter expert for a specific project/system.

Handle projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments.

Collaborate with Business System Analysts (BSAs) and Development teams to analyze and review business objectives and requirements, ensuring they are testable.

Participate actively in reviewing architectural and technical design specifications.

Develop, document, and maintain test data, data validation, and end-to-end testing flows.

Conduct testing using manual and automated test processes and report results.

Run database queries as needed for data validation within test scripts.

Update test cases based on approved change requests.

Work with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage.

Assign defect severity and manage defects throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate with colleagues and project managers to meet target dates and deliverables under changing conditions.

Create test status reports and test result summaries to ensure production readiness.

Facilitate review of the Test Strategy with the project team.

Identify potential quality issues and escalate them immediately to management.

Obtain testing sign-off from all testing participants, including cross-impacted application teams.

Ensure completion of all testing aspects, including manual, regression, automation, and performance testing.

Collaborate with the Project Test Lead on estimating testing efforts.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts as needed.

Maintain the regression test environment to accommodate evolving requirements.

Participate in off-hour production releases as needed.

Support the warranty period post-deployment.

Work under moderate supervision with some autonomy for judgment and problem-solving.

Mentor junior team members as needed.

Follow the project lifecycle methodology consistently.
