Commercial Insurance Account Manager
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to take over a book of business supporting accounts ranging from mid-large market clients. Responsibilities include coordinating complex policy transactions, maintaining detailed and accurate records, and providing high-level client support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned commercial accounts, including quotes, coverage changes, renewals, and certificates
- Review policies and documents for consistency and compliance
- Communicate with clients and underwriters to address inquiries and gather information
- Analyze insurance-related contract requirements
- Assist Account Executives, complete special projects, and uphold confidentiality standards
- Provide excellent customer service and contribute positively to the team environment
- Ideally Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
- Active and valid State of Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Construction experience is ideal
- 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance account management, ideally handling middle & large market accounts
- Strong knowledge of middle market insurance products and carrier relationships
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, AMS
360 and Image Right; will consider experience with related agency management systems - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
