Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly
This hybrid role includes in‑office training followed by a 3‑day work‑from‑home/2‑day office schedule. Under the guidance of attorneys, you will perform complex legal tasks, conduct research, draft documents, and support litigation and compliance matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Legal research and documentation for case preparation.
- Document discovery and e‑discovery support.
- Coordinating subpoenas, demand letters, and discovery responses.
- Managing litigation support vendors and monitoring deadlines.
- Planning and scheduling witness interviews, deposition preparation, and depositions.
- Maintaining litigation file trackers and preparing status reports.
- Supporting internal compliance investigations and regulatory filings.
- Designing workflow improvements for the OGC team and maintaining legal templates and correspondence.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree as a paralegal or three years of paralegal experience.
- Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal training program and three years of experience (or five years of experience).
- Ability to obtain and maintain ABA-approved paralegal certification.
- Proficiency in legal research, case law, and regulatory analysis.
- Experience drafting pleadings, memoranda, and legal correspondence.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law or related field.
- Knowledge of regulatory filings and company procedures.
- Experience in insurance, contract or corporate law, real‑property transactions, or trademark law.
- Familiarity with banking and financial institution law.
Competitive hourly rate of $31–$38 with annual bonus potential.
