Worker’s Attorney – Detroit, MI

Garan Lucow Miller P.C. is growing fast and looking to add an experienced and dedicated Worker’s Compensation Attorney to join our legal team in Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in all phases of worker’s compensation cases, from intake through resolution. This position requires a strong understanding of Michigan worker’s compensation laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent injured workers in all stages of worker’s compensation claims, including hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare case strategies, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients’ rights in administrative and court proceedings.
• Evaluate medical evidence and work closely with medical professionals to support case arguments.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan (you must already have a P-number).
• 2–5 years of experience handling worker’s compensation or related personal injury cases preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Michigan worker’s compensation laws and procedures.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.

Compensation

• Salary range: $85,000.00 – $/year (based on experience)
