Paralegal

Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in the Southfield area. In this role, you will provide critical support to attorneys, specializing in litigation. Your expertise will be essential in managing case files, preparing for trials, and ensuring smooth legal processes.

Responsibilities:

- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including drafting and reviewing legal documents.

- Conduct thorough research to support insurance defense and personal injury cases.

- Prepare discovery materials and manage the exchange of relevant case information.

- Coordinate trial preparation activities, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.

- Maintain and update case files using case management software.

- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure compliance with legal deadlines and procedures.

- Facilitate communication between clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

- Summarize depositions and other legal documents for review by attorneys.

- Monitor and track case developments to provide timely updates.

- Handle administrative tasks related to legal proceedings and case management.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on litigation and insurance defense.

- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures.

- Proficiency in utilizing case management software to organize legal files.

- Expertise in preparing discovery materials and trial documentation.

- Excellent research and analytical skills to support legal cases.

- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Effective communication skills to liaise with attorneys, clients, and legal stakeholders.

- Familiarity with Michigan legal processes and requirements is preferred.
