Top Skillsets:- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management, supplier management, procurement, or related functions.
- Experience with SAP, Maximo, procurement, vendor management, or utility/energy organizations is highly desirable.
The SPM Contract Manager I is responsible for supplier performance management (SPM) activities for small to medium-sized contracts. This role supports contract administration throughout the contract lifecycle while identifying opportunities to maximize value, improve supplier performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Position summarySeeking a Contract Manager with 3+ years of experience managing supplier contracts, vendor performance, procurement, or supply chain activities. This individual will oversee small to mid-sized contracts through their full lifecycle, drive supplier performance and compliance, support negotiations, and partner with business stakeholders to maximize contract value.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage contract strategies in partnership with business units and centers of excellence.
- Define contract terms and conditions in accordance with company standards.
- Manage post-award contract administration activities.
- Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance.
- Ensure adherence to contractual terms, including payment and performance requirements.
- Modify contracts as needed and support renewals, extensions, and contract closeout activities.
- Manage small to medium-sized supplier contracts through the full contract lifecycle.
- Provide regular reporting on supplier performance, development plans, and compliance metrics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related issues and disputes.
- Analyze and resolve business conflicts between the company and suppliers.
- Identify and implement value-maximization opportunities.
- Partner with Supply Chain Management to negotiate favorable contract terms.
- Review and process supplier work effort requests in accordance with corporate policies.
- Ensure executed contracts are properly communicated and understood by all stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of contract changes and issue resolution activities.
- Collaborate with key customers and stakeholders to proactively improve supplier performance.
- Support supplier selection activities in conjunction with the Supply Chain team.
- Analyze current contract processes and recommend improvements utilizing continuous improvement principles.
- Assist with contract negotiation strategy and execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong contract administration and contract lifecycle management experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
