As an Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily activities of a warehouse, which includes meticulously managing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. This involves conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory records, and implementing reordering processes to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Additionally, you will be responsible for order processing, which encompasses receiving customer orders, verifying order details, and coordinating with the production or procurement team to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.

Furthermore, you will manage the shipping process, which includes preparing shipments, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. You will also collaborate with suppliers to maintain a smooth supply chain, which involves monitoring supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and resolving any issues that may arise. Moreover, you will coordinate with carriers to ensure that shipments are handled professionally and delivered on time, which involves tracking shipments, resolving delivery issues, and maintaining a good relationship with carriers.

You will work in a team environment at our Detroit, MI facility, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals. The workplace is in a bustling urban area with easy access to public transportation.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $74,035.

What you will do:

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipment processing.

Coordinating with vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Implementing and maintaining efficient processes and procedures to optimize warehouse performance.

Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.

Training and mentoring warehouse staff to ensure high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

What we need:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.

Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
