Our client is seeking a Production & Maintenance Manager for an excellent on-site position located in the Detroit, MI area.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily production operations and maintenance activities in a high-volume manufacturing facility to ensure maximum uptime, product quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Supervise production teams and maintenance technicians
• Plan and schedule production runs while coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as changeover.
• Minimize downtime by rapid troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of equipment failures
• Enforce safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory and work with procurement for critical items.
• Implement and track KPIs: OEE, MTBF, MTTR, scrap rate, on‑time delivery.
• Train, coach, and evaluate a team of 11 across shifts.
• Prepare shift reports, maintenance logs, and capital expenditure requests.

• Technical degree (Mechanical/Electrical) or equivalent experience; trade certification a plus.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, hydraulics, and welding processes.
• PLC experience to include upload/downloads of programs and ability to troubleshoot basic events. Relay complicated issues to electrical teams.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance systems and reliability‑centered maintenance.
• Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, project management, and communication abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to respond to emergencies when required.
• Proficient in remote monitoring software, maintenance applications, and MS Office.
