• Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications.
• Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition; maintain processing area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Complete all required information entry accurately; perform other tasks as assigned.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment; pull, inspect, and verify product before processing.
• Set up equipment safely to run material according to setup specifications and process setup notes per work order specifications.
• Verify product meets setup specifications per written work Instructions; record measurements (sampling plan).
• Communicate with the appropriate sales representative regarding changes or clarifications to orders.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general cleanup; maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
• Enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions; assist in packaging material per written work instructions and work orders.
• Weigh and record inspection measurements; identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
• Complete job responsibilities without compromising personal or coworker safety; train others when required.
• Assist in lean and/or quality activities; work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and write; basic math skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Safety mindset

Preferred Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry
• Previous forklift experience
• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Computer literate
