Process Technician

The Process Technician is responsible for completing processing functions according to machine parameters to support molding operations. This includes setting up and maintaining controls on molds, presses, and other equipment to support production.

• Follow work instructions and oral directions.
• Monitor and adjust cycle times on assigned machines as directed by the supervisor.
• Operate control panels to enter or change data as needed.
• Ensure color and mold changes are correctly completed prior to press operation.
• Assist the molding supervisor.
• React to machine lighting signals during abnormal events.
• Check process parameters for proper setup; record deviations.
• Create new process setups with engineer assistance.
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes of technical issues.
• Document all process changes in logs.
• Identify and separate purge material as per process.
• Record changeover times, setup times, and scrap data.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work areas.
• Assist in workstation setup during mold changes or as instructed.
• Participate in safety audits, accident investigations, and safety communication.
• Maintain ISO/TS16949 and ISO
  14001 compliance within molding.

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Self-motivated with good attendance.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have hi-lo and crane certifications.

• Stand and walk regularly; frequently use hands and reach with arms.
• Climb, balance, talk, and hear as required.
• Work in temperature and humidity variations.
• Lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
