The Brand Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for ensuring DVG’s brands, products and product lines resonate with current and potential customers. This person monitors marketing trends and monitors competitive companies in the marketplace so we can stay ahead of competition.
What You Will Do- Create go‑to‑market plans for our parent company (The Duravent Group) and our flagship brands (Duravent, Hart & Cooley, Selkirk & Security Chimney and Builder’s Best), as well as support buy/sell agreements and new acquisitions
- Drive the exploration and definition of customer segmentation
- Develop brand strategies for marketing initiatives
- Manage projects and brand/product launch campaigns through all stages of development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Product Managers
- Define creative direction (verbal and visual) and ensure consistency of marketing messages
- Ensure key messages are on brand for various target audiences, across all marketing communications
- Ensure graphic designs meet brand guidelines in marketing material development
- Oversee digital and trade media and content development for all brands
- Establish and manage budgets for brand marketing activities
- Build the trade and digital media plans for the business and actively monitor performance
- Advise and drive direction for brand strategy (ex. brand pyramids and brand value propositions)
- Maintain relationships with company stakeholders
- Actively monitor the market and stay on top of trends
- Conduct market research on brand awareness, shopper insights, customer segmentation and more
- Create brand pyramids, brand value propositions and product line value propositions through deep understanding of our target audiences
- Actively monitor the competition, taking note of how they are going to market and use that data to ensure the Duravent Group stays ahead of the competition
- Develop a deep understanding of the Duravent Group brand and all sub‑brand’s brand standards
- Regularly communicate with the marketing team to ensure brand alignment
- Track key performance indicators including advertising print (reach & frequency) and digital advertising (lead generation, views and clicks)
- Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills, with a background in brand management and product‑driven marketing
- Creative mindset, ability to scale rapidly, creating and executing tactics and strategies
- Market research background or expertise
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe In‑Design is a must
- Excellent analytical, written communication, content creation, and presentation skills
- Must be a self‑starter who is detail‑oriented and well‑organized
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, public relations or communication studies
