Ready to lead a movement that transforms lives and communities? At United Way for Southeast Michigan (UWSEM), we believe in building a region where every family's basic needs are met, every child has the opportunity to thrive, and every household has a clear path to prosperity. Philanthropy is the engine that powers this vision-and we're searching for a dynamic leader to take that engine to the next level.
We're hiring a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to join our executive team and champion a culture of giving that drives systemic change. This is more than a fundraising role-it's an opportunity to inspire generosity, strengthen partnerships, and create lasting impact across Southeast Michigan.
As CPO, you'll be a key member of UWSEM's executive leadership team, shaping the future of philanthropy for one of the region's most trusted nonprofits. You'll design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, lead and mentor a high-performing team, and cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners. Your leadership will ensure that every gift-large or small-helps build a stronger, more equitable future.
Imagine the impact you'll have:
- Inspiring donors to invest in education, equity, and opportunity
- Building partnerships that fuel transformational change
- Leading a talented team committed to innovation and collaboration
- Working alongside the CEO and Board to shape a vision for lasting impact
What makes you a great fit?
- Proven success securing six- and seven-figure gifts
- 10-15 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including senior leadership
- Exceptional relationship-building and strategic vision
- Passion for creating lasting change in Southeast Michigan
If you're a seasoned fundraising leader with a heart for mission-driven work, this is your chance to make a difference that truly matters. Join us—and help turn generosity into impact.
