Position Overview

Henry Ford Health is seeking a full‑time (36 hours/week) Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the dedicated neonatology team at Henry Ford St. John Children’s Hospital. This role provides oversight of Level III neonatal care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive neonatal care, performing bedside procedures, and attending deliveries. We are a team committed to putting patients and families first.

New graduates are welcome and will be considered, with opportunities to grow and advance skill sets in Level III NICU practice.

Schedule

Full‑Time. 36 Hours per week. Rotating Sunday through Saturday. Rotating days, nights, weekends.

Education & Experience

Requires Master’s Degree in Nursing; licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner; licensure as a Registered Nurse; BCLS certification; and certification in one of the following: ANA certification exam in a nursing specialty field, National Certification Corporation (NCC), National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates, and/or Certification from Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).

Qualifications

• NP – Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
• NP – Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan.

Licensure and Certification

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application).
• National certification as an NP.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• DEA/CSL, required through credentialing. NPs do not have controlled substance licenses; they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license.

Experience

• Credentialing: RN State of Michigan, National Board NNP Certification, BLS, NRP and Master of Nursing, required.
• Federal DEA License.
