DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, Michigan’s first Level I Trauma Center, offers a busy and well-equipped emergency department and one of the state’s largest verified burn centers.
ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Extern II (NE II) works under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and is assigned to an experienced RN each shift. The NE II assists with patient care tasks such as activities of daily living (ADLs), vitals, ambulation, and other duties within the scope of patient care tech or equivalent. The NE II reports all deviations from expected patient parameters to the RN and receives mentoring and ongoing feedback from the RN.
QualificationsApplicants can apply starting six months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
