Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Gastro Clinic - Detroit

Full Time - Day Shift, Monday - Friday - 10 hour shifts, Shift - 9am - 7:30pm

1 Saturday every 4-5 weeks.

On-Call requirement:
Sat & Sun every 4-5 weeks generally from 8am - 4pm. Holiday on-call - generally once per year. Must arrive within 1 hour of being called.

Orientation is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

Candidate Preferences: 1-2 years of recent nursing experience in inpatient or ambulatory environment. Pre/Post/Procedural experience a plus. Strong IV skills preferred. Ability to multitask in fast paced endoscopy unit. This position will mainly consist of inpatient & outpatient procedures.

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

• BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
