OverviewUnit Specializes in: 1 West is the designated rehab unit with 12 beds. Patients are transferred from multiple units following orthopedic surgeries, post‑trauma, LTACH (select care), and MVA. RNs have been trained in EKG interpretation. RN ratios are 1:6 with acuity‑based assignments. Team conferences include PT, OT, and speech therapy.
DMC Sinai‑Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering comprehensive services including heart center, cancer care, gerontology, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. The joint replacement program features minimally invasive knee and hip replacement surgeries.
Responsibilities- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Delegates, assesses, provides, and evaluates patient care.
- Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
- Monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.
- Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision‑making activities.
- Graduation from a school of nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
Primary location: DMC Sinai‑Grace Hospital.
Scheduled hours: 40 hours per week.
Shift type:
Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
FTE: 0.5.
